Coplin Plantation prohibits the aerial and/or mechanical application of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, etc. in Coplin Plantation. Section A: Exception 1: Manual applications to one acre or less, per individual landowner, per year. Exception 2: Manual applications along utility lines. Section B; Penalties: Violators shall be liable to a fine of not less than 50 dollars or more than 5,000 dollars, per incident. Enforcement: The first selectman shall be appointed enforcement officer. Section C; Effective date: This ordinance will take effect when affirmatively voted at town meeting, and shall remain in effect until terminated or amended by majority vote of a town meeting.
